FLODRILL™ series

SNF Floerger produces a wide range of products for the preparation of water-based muds. We offer products of the FLODRILL™ series, which are used to solve the following tasks:

  • Removal of drill cuttings from wells, due to viscosity and flow in annular gaps.

  • Pressure control in wells by changing the density of drilling fluids.

  • Cooling and lubrication of drill cutters.

  • Formation of a filter cake on the walls of wells by changing the filtering characteristics.

  • Suspending slime and sediment during downtime due to the thixotropic behavior of drilling fluid systems.

We offer polyacrylamides of different molecular weight and degree of hydrolysis. They are produced in the form of powders, emulsions, solutions or microgranules. Brief information about some typical products is given below:

  • FLODRILL™ PAM 1040 (powder) – high molecular weight polyacrylamide with an average degree of hydrolysis, is used as thickener of drilling fluids (with and instead of bentonite) and for suppressing the swelling of bentonite;

  • FLODRILL™ PAM 1090 (powder) / AB 705 BPM (microgranules) – low molecular weight polyacrylamide with a high degree of hydrolysis, is used to regulate fluid loss;

  • FLODRILL™ PAM 1100 (powder) / AB 995 BPM (micro granules) is a low molecular weight polyacrylamide with a very high degree of hydrolysis used to stabilize and strengthen the thixotropic properties of bentonite suspensions.

  • FD 134 (powder) – low molecular weight polyacrylamide with an average degree of hydrolysis, is used to stabilize and strengthen the thixotropic properties of suspensions based on clays with a low content of montmorillonite.
